I am opening up a pizza chain restaurant in my town. How can I promote it?

I live in a somewhat small town and am opening up a chain pizza restaurant- It is set to open in 3 weeks. What are some ideas to make sure my community knows about it and also to help drive business? Thanks.

Open a myspace and facebook account, it’s like free advertising and so many people are on these sites.

Make a myspace page for it.
Go to search and add all the people from your town that have a myspace…
offer promotions and coupons that are exclusive to myspace friends! I have seen other companies do this and they have many many customers/clients through myspace!

make sure to make it family friendly and maybe promote special deals. also you can place ads in newspapers and use word of mouth :) good luck!

i would get the high school kids coming in by handing out coupons or good deals to some of those kids, or if you have a family member that age, let them give it out at school

    also, radio ads are effective
if you can make a quick catchy one it would be great

also advertise in the local newspaper, small communities normally have them as well

    best of luck

where I live, local companies can advertise fairly cheaply in the local high school’s year books. It’s about that time of year, you should look into it. High school & Pizza = Love.

Contact the local newspaper and see if they will be willing to do a story on the grand opening.
Put up ads in the window of your restaurant, saying "Opening in 7 days" then every day switch the number.
Call the local radio station and ask if they will tell it’s listeners about the opening. You may have to pay for the ad.
Put an ad in the paper along with a coupon to use on the grand opening.

Flyers at the local High Schools, church, gym, etc. Perhaps offer free personal pizzas from 2-5 pm on opening day. Flyers door to door is another good idea.

Is there a preschool/daycare in your area? Be sure every child brings home a sale coupon or buy-one-get-one coupon. Working moms who pick up their toddlers on their way home may welcome the convenience of being able to pick up a pizza on the way home, too. (You might offer the director and teachers a "free" coupon in exchange for their help.)

Also, have school night. On a certain night (usually a Thursday, or some "off" night) restaurants will offer a percentage of sales to a school if the customer identifies himself as being from that school. One Thursday it might be the elementary school, next Thursday might be the middle school, then the high school, and so on. This way, you’ll get the PTO, principal and teachers to do your advertising for you.
