The Jack Russell Terrier: A great little dog

The Jack Russell Terrier is a small, AKC recognized dog breed. They come in both smooth and rough coats and they were originally bred for fox hunting. Jack Russell’s are commonly confused with the Parson Russell Terrier. Jack Russell Terrier’s are tenacious little dogs. They are tough, energetic, and sturdy. The AKC standard says that their length must be in proportion to their height. They are primary a working terrier. They have been used to hunt small prey such as badgers, groundhogs, and the red and grey fox. Jack Russell Terrier breeders typically sell quality Jack Russell Terriers for $500 and up. Lower quality dogs are less expensive.
