Looking for a great authentic mexican restaurant in the metro detroit area?

Asides from Mexican village near corktown, does anyone know of a great authentic mexican restaurant in detroit or the surrounding suburbs? Thanks.

    Great question! I am always for real, non-americanized mexican food.

    I like Los Quatros Amigos, in Rochester Hills.

    Border Cantina, in Novi/Northville, is not real mexican. It is okay, but not if you are looking for real mexican food. It’s comparable to a Don Pablo’s or Chi Chi’s.

    lol please dont go to any resturant in the suburbs or any of the mexican resturants in mexicantown area as all these resturants are americanized if your looking 4 authentic mexican food that is good go to one of the following places los altos located on west vernor a few blocks north of central, or mi pueblo on dix ave a few blocks north of central as well NOW KEEP THIS IN MIND these 2 resturants are in the middle of the hood where lots of gangs are so it would be wise to avoid these places at night if you go during the day you should be fine trust me i kno alot of suburbanites who go to mi pueblo cuz the food is so dam good…. Im mexican who lived in southwest detroit 4 20 years so trust me i kno where the good resturants are SUGGESTION if you go to mi pueblo try the chicken and cheese tacos weither u want silantro or onions is on you but trust me ur gona love them

    Juan’s Hacienda, in Madison Heights, on Dequinder just north of 13 mile. The best around, period.
