When you eat at a fine dining restaurant, a hamburger is going to cost a lot more than getting a hamburger from a fast food restaurant. While the cost of the hamburger can cost you $10.00 as oppose to a burger at a fast food place that would cost less than $2.00.
How much money would you say you are willing to spend when you eat a hamburger at a fine dining restaurant?
I say that I am willing to spend $8.00 for a hamburger at a fine dining restaurant.
I am a former chef and while on a trip to Singapore, (I worked there in the 1980′s) a couple of friends and I went to a fine dining place in town, and I had one just because it was on the menu for $50, it was made with Kobe beef, had a slice of foie gras, , truffle and crispy onions on a hand made brioche roll. Not the kind you have ketchup and mustard on, and it was about the size of a normal burger at McD.
Now I would not venture that today, although I had a burger here in Toronto Canada where I live at a place called Jake’s, it was a 10 oz pattie with 3 slices of cheese, 6 slices of bacon and toppings, it weights 2 lbs when garnished and I paid $8.75.
