BISTRO COMFORT, DELICIOUS AND TASTEFUL THE BEST IN HIS WAY

Is it risky to change a pizza restaurant’s name after 3 years in business? I strongly feel the current name?

(Stavros Pizza) is hard to pronounce and remember. I feel it has a weak identity and i’m hesitant to advertise and market the name any further. I have a great location and business is ok, but i feel it could be a lot better. So is it risky to change the name?

Just advertise same great place, same owners, same menu. I think your loyal customers will be fine and you may even make new ones.

What is your favorite restaurant in Chicago that makes pizza?

Yesterday I asked you for your favorite restaurant in Chicago is your favorite, other then a pizza place. So now can answer what is your favorite restaurant in Chicago that makes pizza, or is a pizza place. And please tell me why is your favorite pizza place restaurant in Chicago? So yes to Connie’s Pizza, Home Run Inn, Lou Malanti’s, or etc.

I won’t start my usual argument about how much Uno’s sucks now compared to years long past (okay, maybe I am kinda starting it,) but my favorite Chicago deep dish place is My Pi, on Clark near Diversey. It’s not a chain, it’s doesn’t have a big touristy reputation, it’s just great old-fashioned Chicago pizza. For thin crust I like Calo’s on the North Side in Andersonville. The restaurant itself isn’t very good and their other pizzas aren’t great but their super-thin crust is excellent. For stuffed pizza I like Giordano’s or Nancy’s.

Other then a pizza place, what is your favorite restaurant in Chicago?

There are a lot of pizza restaurants in Chicago that makes pizza, but I am looking for other then a pizza place, what is your favorite restaurant in Chicago. So you can’t say Connie’s Pizza, Home Run Inn, Lou Malanti’s. But you can say Harry Caray’s, (as long you don’t say Harry Caray’s Tavern), Mike Ditkia’s, or even the Billy Goat Tavern. And please tell me why it is your favorite restaurant in Chicago.

Tru
Japanois
Leon’s
M Henry’s
Harold’s Chicken
Tanoshii
Fogo de Chao (I know, Fogo is a chain but I love it so much!)
Alinea
House of Sushi & Noodles (might be House of Noodles & Sushi)
Gibson’s
Keifer’s
Brasserie Jo’s
L2O
Nacional 27
N9ne
Avec
RedLight
etc
etc
etc

Of these, the best I’ve had is Tru. My overall favorite restaurant is probably Fogo de Chao.

I doubt most Chicagoans would actually pick a pizza place as their favorite restaurant, no matter how much we like pizza; no more than we would pick a hot dog place as our favorite restaurant even though we love hot dogs. Anyone who thinks Chicago cuisine consists of pizza and neighborhood taverns really doesn’t know the city very well.
UPDATE
LOL…okay, I was wrong, we still love our pizza, hot dogs and beefs, too!

I have a pizza restaurant and i need a slogan please help?

The place is called Pizza King and it specializes in gourmet pizzas and caters to diabetics and celiacs so a bit of a healthy twist and also specializes in corporate deliveries 7 days a week

"try our pizza it tastes the best,
once you try it you’ll think it beats the rest,
we deliver in a short amount of time,
you’ll love our pizza, just try our pizza, listen to this rhyme!!

Don’t use a woman licking her fingers I do not think that is appealing, try something like a a picture of a family eating pizza with a slogan like,No time to cook your off the hook come down and have a slice of fresh hand made pizza with fresh ingriedients:)

Would you invest in a Pizza restaurant named this?

I wanna name a pizza restaurant: Pizza Pizza Pizza Pizza Pizza Pizza Pizza Pizza Pizza Pizza Pizza Pizza Pizza Pizza Pizza.

basically Pizza 15 times in a row.

No. You would be sued by the Canadian chain, "Pizza Pizza" for one and Little Caesars in the USA. Plus, you cannot fit that name on letterhead or on any signage.

I have a restaurant pizza dough recipe but I need help!!!?

A friend of mine got all the recipes for the restaurant menu but they’re meant to be for like 30 pizzas…can you help me to make it for 2 pizzas???

2 jars of luke warm water
2 cups yeast
1 1/2 cup of sugar
4 second squirts of oil
8 scoops of flour

Thanks!!!!!

Well,…you have an ingredient list, so if you have the stuff to make it. Give it a try.
Pizza dough is pretty forgiving, but the basic thing is getting it started. You must bloom the yeast with the oil, luke warm water and sugar. Use about two ounces of hot water ( not too hot ) melt in the sugar ( about a tablespoon) and the oil about two ounces as well. Put these into a large bowl with the yeast. You could use 1 envelope of yeast,…or measure approximately 3/4 ounce. Let it stand in a covered bowl until it looks like it is growing , then simply add and mix adding flour until the dough feels like a soft smooth dough. Then let it rest again. When it is pizza time,…roll your dough onto a floured surface and split into two balls and roll in additional flour rolling til you have your pizza rounds. The amount of flour may actually be varied because of humidity factors but be patient it will work.
