Fatal Dog Attacks Involve New Born Babies
Two newborn infants were killed in dog attacks – one in Georgia and the other in Minnesota – within the space of one week, according to news reports. One instance involved a pit bull mix and another involved a Siberian Husky. In both cases the parents had left the child unattended. The infants, in either case, could not be saved.
These are tragic cases, which remind us yet again to take certain safety precautions especially when it comes to protecting our children from dog bites. According to studies performed by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control, children are most often the victims of dog bites.
Sometimes, it occurs unprovoked. Other times, it happens because children do not know how to behave around dogs. But in these cases, it happened because the parents trusted their dogs around their infants. In the Minnesota case, a news report states that the Siberian Husky was a known aggressive dog.

Should I learn French or Spanish?
Spanish is usually considered a simple language to learn by people in the US. We think because words and phrases like “Adios, amigo” and “pronto” have entered our consciousness that the rest of the language would be easy to pick up as well. Not necessarily. I think a learn French CD would prove that French perhaps has even more in common with English. While Spanish is a a mix of Latin and Arabic, French, like English is a mix of Latin and German. Only that English is a bit heavier on the German. I think you’ll find French to be far more useful in the long run.

Of course you know that when you’re old enough to go to college but many kids don’t truly think about this reality when they ask their parents to cosign for their student loans. The sad truth is that parents, just like anybody else, can lose their job or become seriously ill. And in that case, the last thing you want is for them to be responsible for your unpaid student debts. The morale is, if you get your parents to cosign a loan, make sure you know that you can pay them yourself or that your parents can, even in a worst case scenario. If not, it could be a good idea to look at student loans without a cosigner. They do exist, even if it can be more difficult to get one.
