Massage careers can be lonely.

Most people who train as a massage therapist will work in a small group at most; maybe in a medical clinic helping to ease a patient’s pain away and increase the speed of their recovery. Most massage therapists however work alone in a room and only see a colleague to chat with at lunch times or at the end of the day. I wonder how many people gave the potential colleague loneliness a thought when they were picking out their massage courses at the start of their careers. It is possible that this lifestyle is exactly what people want, no colleague angst and just the fun of dealing with their clients as you do get some right eccentrics come through your door on a day to day basis – at times like these all the difficulties you have had throughout your massage therapy training is all worthwhile!
