My great-grandma owned her own bakery, and I’ve been thinking about that as a possible career choice for myself.
How hard is it to own your own bakery?
It is not hard to open and run your own bakery. It is hard to make a profit. You need $900 a month for the store location in a shopping center. You need $300 for fixtures ( cheaper if you buy them at a bankruptcy auction at the courthouse). No employees other than you for the first few months until you are profitable. No expensive cash register; just use a cash drawer. You could be open by this weekend.
