How To Measure Your Vertical Jump
Here is a simple 5 step process to measure your vertical jump correctly.
STEP 1
Stand next to a wall. If you’re right handed, your right shoulder should be next to the wall, and vice versa.
STEP 2
Stretch your arm and reach up as high as possible, marking the highest spot you can touch. This is called your standing reach. Use ink or chalk on your fingertips to mark the spot or just have someone put some tape on the wall marking off the highest point you can touch.
STEP 3
Without taking any steps, jump up and reach as high up the wall as you can, and mark off the second spot.
STEP 4
Keep jumping until you feel you have touched the highest point on the wall.
STEP 5
Subtract your standing reach from the height of the highest point you touched on the wall.

Curt Warner’s Retirement
Friday, Kurt Warner announced his retirement from the Arizona Cardinals NFL franchise. Kurt played for over 12 years in the NFL, leading 2 different teams to the Super Bowl. Kurt was best known for his accurate passing ability and knack for reading the defenses of opposing teams. Kurt lead two different teams from obscurity to the Super Bowl, a feet unmatched in the NFL.
But the NFL was not the 1st stop for Kurt after college. He also played in the Now defunct World Football League as well as the Arena Football League.
Kurt’s experience will likely be missed next year as the Quarterback position will probably be taken over by the unproven Matt Linart.

The Challenge of Rock Climbing
Rock Climbing is considered a sport and is done for your own self-satisfaction. There are no spectators to watch you, but yourself and those that you climb with. The skill of rock climbing requires not only strength and control of your body movements, but also a great deal of intelligent thinking. When you climb rocks you must always be aware of your surroundings through sight and sound. You must think rationally and decide what your next move will be. One move in the wrong direction could cause you to slip and fall.
When you rock climb the proper mountain climbing gear must always be used. Without the right equipment you take the chance of risking your life. Those who participate in the sport of rock climbing do so for the thrill and the challenge. When you are facing a rock wall that can rise for thousands of feet into the air you are breathless with anticipation and excitement. To conquer this type of feat brings about a wonderful, exhilarating feeling. When you have reached the top of the wall the self-satisfaction this accomplishment brings is amazing and unforgettable.

American Restaurant Question (Foreigner learn English)?
I went to a restaurant at the noon. And I saw "double play" and "single play" burger. I asked the difference between them. The cashier told me that single play is <<<< two petal>>>>>>. I could understand that meant 2 pieces of meats. I came back to office to check the meaning of <<petal>>, but the meaning did not meet what I expected. Could anyone please help.
Moreover, could anyone provide a few types of cheese that is usually available in fast food restaurant? I only know pepperjack and american cheese
I you sure it was PETAL and not PATTY?
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/patty
Usually fast food restaurants have only one kind of cheese, a cheese product made of cheese and oil called cheese food or "pasteurized process cheese food" it is legal for restaurants to call this cheese.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Processed_cheese
Sometimes there is a milder form of it they call swiss, but it’s usually not real swiss cheese, either.

What mistake by caterers caused trouble at the Under 19 cricket world cup in New Zealand?
Serving toasted ham sandwiches up to the Afghani’s doesn’t sound particularly sensitive. Surely you K1’s should have been able to drum up some Halal Lamb.

Other then a pizza place, what is your favorite restaurant in Chicago?
There are a lot of pizza restaurants in Chicago that makes pizza, but I am looking for other then a pizza place, what is your favorite restaurant in Chicago. So you can’t say Connie’s Pizza, Home Run Inn, Lou Malanti’s. But you can say Harry Caray’s, (as long you don’t say Harry Caray’s Tavern), Mike Ditkia’s, or even the Billy Goat Tavern. And please tell me why it is your favorite restaurant in Chicago.
Tru
Japanois
Leon’s
M Henry’s
Harold’s Chicken
Tanoshii
Fogo de Chao (I know, Fogo is a chain but I love it so much!)
Alinea
House of Sushi & Noodles (might be House of Noodles & Sushi)
Gibson’s
Keifer’s
Brasserie Jo’s
L2O
Nacional 27
N9ne
Avec
RedLight
etc
etc
etc
Of these, the best I’ve had is Tru. My overall favorite restaurant is probably Fogo de Chao.
I doubt most Chicagoans would actually pick a pizza place as their favorite restaurant, no matter how much we like pizza; no more than we would pick a hot dog place as our favorite restaurant even though we love hot dogs. Anyone who thinks Chicago cuisine consists of pizza and neighborhood taverns really doesn’t know the city very well.
UPDATE
LOL…okay, I was wrong, we still love our pizza, hot dogs and beefs, too!

Which restaurants would you recommend going to in either Birmingham, Manchester or London?
I would like to know which restaurants you like to go in the following places, Birmingham, Manchester or London. I would prefer these restaurants to be of high status, such as michelin-starred restaurants.
I can only speak for Manchester (not a resident but visitor.)
Manchester has a great China Town with budgets to suit all.
There is also a great Gay area near the canal that has fabulous restaurants.Near the railway station.

Possible Risks of Wind Power Generators
Even good things can have negative effects. And wind power generators are no exception. For one, there are instances when some people who are exposed to these wind systems experience what is called the “wind turbine syndrome”. Here, people tend to have headaches and dizziness due to the constant vibration and low-frequency noise of wind power generators. Hopefully with the advancement of technology, more aerodynamic designs will be implemented to prevent this problem. Wind systems like this can also affect the natural habitat of animals, particularly birds that fly across areas where there are wind turbines. A number of incidents – killed birds and bats – have been reported in recent years.
